Paramount lift Aurobinda Memorial U-15 Cricket Trophy

Home favourites Paramount Sporting `A’ emerged champions in the 2nd Aurobinda Memorial All-Odisha Under-15 Cricket Tournament, defeating Juvenile Club (Cuttack) by 67 runs in the final at Paramount Sporting Ground here today.

The champion team received the Aurobinda Memorial Ttrophy and a cash prize of Rs 20,000, while Juvenile Club took home the Bimal Prasad Pattnaik runners-up trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 10,000. Odisha Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda inaugurated the tournament earlier on April 7 and handed over the trophies at the closing function today.

Bhubaneswar Deputy Mayor K Shanti, eminent cricket coach Kishore Mania, Odisha Ranji players Rashmi Ranjan Parida, Prasant Mohapatra, Govind Poddar, host Paramount Sporting Club president Pratap Jena and secretary Ashok Patra were present in the trophy presentation ceremony.

INDIVIDUAL PRIZES: Man of the tournament: Manitej Mohanty (Paramount), Best batsman: Binayak Mohanty (Town Club), Best bowler: Riteish Priyaranjan (Paramount), Best fielder: Saideep Mohapatra (Juvenile), Best allrounder: Sai Subham (Paramount).
